DRS is a supplier of e-Registration solutions which capture the presence, absence and lateness of students accurately and in real time.

With DRS IntelliReg®, students use their fingertip, card and/or a unique PIN code to register their attendance. IntelliReg® can seamlessly integrate with SIMS providing real time data for accurate and efficient attendance monitoring whilst saving valuable teaching time.

DRS can supply fixed wall mounted registration units and portable registration units which can connect via a number of network configurations.

The integrity of the DRS fingertip template is guaranteed. DRS do not store images of fingerprints. DRS IntelliReg® scans the fingertip at a very low resolution and translates the scan through an algorithm to a number. Only that number is stored. The data cannot be transferred or copied into other systems and the data cannot also recreate a fingerprint image. DRS strongly advises schools to engage in a full consultation process with students, their parents or guardians, staff and governors before implementing a biometric fingertip solution.

IntelliReg® can be added to with access control, cashless catering, smart copiers, text messaging, library management systems and more, through its Integrated Education Solution partners. Attendance and Registration - OMR Solutions

DRS provides a wide range of specially designed attendance and registration stock or bespoke forms for schools, colleges, universities and adult education establishments that are fully optimised for automated data capture.

DRS Optical Mark Readers are used to automatically capture the data from the forms and transfer it automatically into your educational establishment MIS, eradicating the need for manual data input. A mark is simply made by the teacher or lecturer on a form as to whether a student is present or absent, the form is fed through a scanner and the data is automatically recorded into the MIS.
