Capita SIMS and partner, Groupcall Emerge, deliver the SIMS App, an intuitive 'App' enabling schools to instantly access up-to-the-minute SIMS data. Securely delivered via 3G to an Apple or Android device.

Working in partnership with Groupcall Emerge, the SIMS App is the perfect solution when a desktop PC is not available; in an emergency where the school system may be down, or access to the school is restricted. Registration can be taken on the school playing field, even on a school trip and student information such as timetables can be accessed. If you are out of wireless range, the data will synchronise automatically as soon as the device is back within range.

• Secure access to the school’s sensitive information
  The SIMS App is encrypted using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) – the government standard for the UK. The system automatically locks when inactive and cannot be reactivated without a correct PIN code, ensuring access to authorised users only.
• In case of an emergency
  An unexpected event requiring evacuation traditionally relied on paper-based records and registers. In the event of a medical incident or security problem, The SIMS App provides an instant communication route to school security personnel, medical staff and parents.
• And if the device is lost or stolen
  The SIMS App can be remotely deactivated and all data wiped by an administrator, guaranteeing that not even the encrypted data is compromised.
