At the heart of Paragon is a gap analysis process which makes training needs analysis across the school simpler and easier. The process of planning training can become pro-active and needs based rather than reactive and supply based.

The Ideas Generator disseminates best practice and develops ownership of personal development in staff. The Action Plan records the completion of development actions, allowing reflection and comment to close the learning cycle.

The annual performance management cycle is completed quickly and consistently and 'Reports' highlight where action is required. The Performance Management Reports show how teacher targets are linked to school objectives and improvement plans.

Assessor and mentoring features support the development of NQTs and the portfolio tools allow them to build an electronic portfolio of evidence against the NQT standards.

Paragon is pre-populated with the relevant standards for all staff and is automatically updated as new ones are published.

Paragon allows teachers, support staff and trainees to:

  • Agree and record their performance management targets, mapping them to whole school and departmental targets.
  • Record their CPD activity against National Standards and build up a portfolio of evidence to support their career development and progression.
