“Schools are brilliant and exciting places to be involved with, I'm really proud to work in this sector.”

Claire Ashton
Partnership Schools Coordinator

I joined Capita in 2006 as Partnership Schools Coordinator and am really proud to continue to work in this post. The Partnership Schools are a joy to work with. They use the software well and are constantly looking for other ways to develop it - always with the children in mind.

They are real advocates of what we do, brilliant presenters and a great support to us. Working with these schools for so long has helped us develop a strong working relationship. The Partnership School programme gives us a real insight into schools, their challenges and strategy. This understanding supports us to develop products, services and share school stories to meet customer needs.

I am proud of our software and what it does to support the life chances young people. School staff tell me how it helps them see patterns, ask questions and save time, ultimately to raise standards and help young people be as successful as possible.

I am responsible for writing an internal newsletter that all Capita SIMS and One staff receive. This gives me a great opportunity to share lovely stories from schools as well as company news and activities colleagues engage in, in and out of work. We’re a busy lot, every weekend someone is doing something fun and raising money for charity.

You can follow me on Twitter, where I share education news and snippets from my school visits, as well as the odd tale about my attempts to get better at running.
