Achieving greater efficiency with the SIMS Teacher app

The Warriner School is a co-educational secondary school situated on the edge of Bloxham, Oxfordshire, England. The school was founded in 1971 and now has 1,245 pupils in the 11–18 age range, having opened a sixth form in September 2013. The Warriner houses the largest school farm in the country.

The Warriner School has been using the SIMS Teacher app since September 2014 and was part of the initial pilot. The school decided to trial the SIMS Teacher app to enable its PE staff to remotely take the register and to increase efficiency of remote access to SIMS functionality.

Leigh Barmby, School Business Manager, explains why the SIMS Teacher app proved appealing: “Our PE department had never been online with electronic registration, but we wanted them to be able to access their registers at any time and any place. We bought the department iPads and they have been working with the app successfully ever since.”
