Had enough of the plummeting temperatures, the “Beast from the East” and never-ending torrents of snow? Fear not! We’ve got some hot topics on the agenda at our next round of user groups!
Cheesy word-play aside, we really have got some great things to share with you at the upcoming SIMS Independent user groups.
The Spring/Summer user groups will be hosted by our partner schools around the country in six different convenient locations and they’re a perfect place to meet with other SIMS users and share best practice; this is a community that can really help you make the most of SIMS.
The agenda is set by our users and includes presentations from other schools on how they use SIMS and what works well for them as well as sessions from the SIMS Independent product and development team.
So what can you expect?
We know this is a key topic in schools at the moment especially as we get closer to the May deadline and so we will be looking at how SIMS can assist schools in fulfilling their GDPR obligation and how a new partner product can help you monitor the different elements to ensure compliance.
An update on our parental engagement solution including details on the SIMS Parent App and how to manage your Extra Curricular Activities.
An overview of our Reading Cloud solution, an online reading community designed to engage students, parents, teachers and librarians in reading for pleasure.
We will be looking at the different methods of reporting within SIMS, from our existing report library to tailored reports based on your particular requirements, either from the Student List, Class List, from the data collection sheet or by mail-merging to excel or data dashboards.
Launched at BETT this year, our new finance solution, is an online system securely delivered utilising the Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform. It incorporates powerful workflow processes and provides streamlined handling of key business processes such as authorising of transactions, dynamic dashboards and flexible reporting. We will highlight and demonstrate some of the new tools your school could benefit from.
At the last round of user groups many of you wanted to know about how SIMS can manage and analyse iGCSE exam results as the information isn’t supplied as part of the base data. During the user groups we will be looking into the setup on User Defined QNs and how this can be managed and analysed with other exam results using Exams Organiser, Assessment Analysis and Discover.
What’s more …
You get the chance to have your say. Is there anything you particularly need help with? Would you like to share how you use SIMS in your school? Come along and meet our SIMS Independent team and other users in your area.
We hope to see you there!
