Modern classrooms are busy, energetic environments with a lot for teachers to take on board and manage on a daily basis.

Add to that the increasing challenge of keeping on top of essential admin and other time-consuming tasks and it’s easy to understand the mounting pressure that teachers and other classroom staff can feel.

We believe that technology can help ease the strain. Many of the tasks and processes that take up time and energy can quickly and easily be addressed using one of the many digital tools that are now part of everyday life – smartphones and tablets being probably the most recognisable.

Using a tablet or smartphone with a tool like the SIMS Teacher app condenses all the most frequent tasks, such as taking the register or awarding behaviour points, making them accessible on the go, without breaking your teaching stride.

We’re offering the chance to win an Apple iPad Mini for your school – all you need do is fill in the form below and tell us how a portable device like an iPad could be used in your classroom to help make teaching easier.

For example, it might be that taking the register could be done quicker and easier without entering attendance twice, or it could be that having access to online content in the palm of your hand might help your pupils get a better understanding of a particular topic. Alternatively, it could be anything completely different that we haven’t even thought of yet – and you never know, your idea might be the start of a classroom EdTech revolution.

Simply complete the form below with your idea by Friday 21 June to enter the prize draw and we’ll contact the winner after this date. Terms and conditions apply.

You can find out more about the SIMS Teacher app here.
