St Mary's Church of England Primary Academy is a school of 265 pupils and 12 teaching staff in the town of Kettering. Having previously used SIMS but subsequently switched to a different provider, this case study outlines their aim of bringing all the school's pupil, staff and financial data into one place in order to make more informed decisions.
Prior to returning to SIMS, the school was performing a lot of functions manually, which was proving time-consuming, inefficient and inaccurate. Combined with accessing data from multiple sources, the school staff found themselves inputting data multiple times and spending money on different systems rather than working a cost-effective solution.
Simon Lindley, the School Business Manager explains: "Our old system didn't have the analytical tools to help us identify where the real issues were. SIMS enables us to enter the data once, and in one central place, so we can track our pupils right through the school."
