The Cygnet SIMS team, currently made up of six staff, look after around 90 primary and secondary schools mainly within Sutton and Kingston Boroughs and have been working with the SIMS School Improvement team for two years.
Their partnership with the SIMS School Improvement team began in April 2014, when the team presented at a SIMS London User Group on the work they had done on assessment. It was becoming more important and more difficult for schools to understand what Ofsted were looking for as part of school data analysis. The School Improvement team presented their resources at a headteacher meeting.
Sarah Ruiz, SIMS Support Manager at Cygnet has been working closely with the School Improvement team.
"The huge advantage of these resources was the very quick and detailed analysis and reports that were available at a click of a button," says Sarah. "Until this time, as a support team, we had worked with each school designing bespoke assessment resources according to each school's requirement."
